But he was charmed with the perfume of her hair . The girl got down at Saharanpur . And the narrator was deeply thinking about the girl . This was the reverie . 

  The narrator’s reverie was broken as a new passenger entered into the compartment . The narrator was really startled .

In reply the narrator remarked that she was an interesting girl and asked him if her hair was long or short . The man was puzzled at the question and said that it was her eyes that attracted his attention and not her hair . Her eyes were very beautiful but they were of no use to the girl because she was completely blind . He asked the narrator if he had not noticed it . The narrator was very much shocked to learn this as he had conversed with the girl for so long yet he was not aware of it .
